What’s happening – February 2019

Psalm 18:1

“I love You, O Lord, my strength.”
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

First, please forgive me for neglecting your blogs! I hope to get back to reading – and writing – soon. At one point I was subscribed to more than 80 blogs and had over 6000 email notifications waiting for me.

Here are some elements of my life right now:

My loving husband’s health is stable, praise God! Tom will be 77 in April.

I’ve been cat-sitting our neighbor’s cat – Oscar. Oscar is 7 months old and has given me my first experience of caring for a feline. He is affectionate, playful, and very quick! Please pray for his owner, Diana.

Our skittish dog Greta has gone with me to visit Oscar. Greta is afraid of him. He sometimes shows her affection and at other times hides and then charges her. He really really wants to be friends. Poor Oscar! When Greta and I visited yesterday she stood with her back to the room and her snout in the corner by the door.

I just finished a good book – “the End Times made simple.” The author, Samuel E. Waldron of Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary in Kentucky, is an amillennialist. Dr. Waldron explains the issues with clarity, reasoning well from the Scriptures, and exalts the Lord Jesus Christ in everything. the End Times Made Simple by Samuel E. Waldron 2

God bless you for reading this!

What’s on my mind for November 20, 2018

Psalm 18:1

“I love You, O Lord, my strength.”
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Tomorrow afternoon I will be having a cervical injection for pain. Please pray for me. Also, because of the procedure, if you leave a comment on a post scheduled to be published tomorrow I will most likely approve and reply late. Lord bless you all, my dear brothers and sisters!

Update – Prayer request for a friend!

On Saturday, September 9th, I posted a request for prayer:

Our neighbor had serious surgery that was botched, is in the hospital again after a month in hospital and a month in a rehab facility, and has to make a decision about more surgery. She is very ill and alone and scared. Her husband died two years ago and her children haven’t seen her.

Please pray

Yesterday our neighbor was transferred to Cleveland Clinic Hospital to have more surgery to correct the mistake. She is really scared and still making decisions alone.

Thank you, brethren, for asking the Lord for all her needs!

In Jesus love,

Maria
