“The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”
On March 26, 2010, twelve Mennonites who were travelling along I65 in Kentucky on their way to a wedding, were involved in a head-on collision. Ten of the twelve died on impact. Eight of the ten were members of the Esh family; one was a prospective son-in-law; another was a young friend. The head of the family, John Esh, was among the family members who died and was associate pastor of a Beachy Mennonite church. The family sang together as a ministry to the Lord. One of those who died was Jalen Esh, an adopted child of two months old. Jalen was buried at his mother’s feet.
“Killed were John Esh, 64; his wife, Sadie, 62; their daughters, Rose, 40; Anna, 33; and Rachel, 20; Rachel’s fiancé, Joel Gingerich, 22; John and Sadie’s son, Leroy, 41; Leroy’s wife, Naomi, 33; Leroy and Naomi’s adopted son, Jalen, 2 months; and family friend Ashlie Kramer, 22, of Franklin. Truck driver Kenneth Laymon, 45, of Alabama, also died.”

Daniel 12:2,3
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
