A little about this blogger and blog

.

.

Hello!

My name is Maria. I’ve been writing for many years, blogging for several. Recently I’ve been absent from my blog. I write fiction of different kinds, poetry, and blogposts. My desire is to encourage others in their faith.

I took Pilgrim’s Progress for my theme because it’s the story of coming to the Lord Jesus Christ in repentance and faith, walking the narrow way with Him, and arriving safe in Heaven because of His boundless power. Pilgrim’s Progress is also the theme of my second blog, a palace beautiful, which is devoted to encouragement without controversy.

Mercy, grace, and peace be multiplied to you who believe in Him Who is our God and Saviour!

Matthew 7:13-14

Jesus warned,

13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

Hebrews 11:16

16 But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

Hebrews 7:24-25

24 But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. 25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

Lamentations 2:14

nkjv

14 Your prophets have seen for you
False and deceptive visions;
They have not uncovered your iniquity,
To bring back your captives,
But have envisioned for you false prophecies and delusions.

Sherry posted a video produced by Pastor Chris Rosebrough of Pirate Christian Radio debunking prophetic messages from known false prophets, Benny Hinn (charismatic) and Lance Wallnau (NAR) and others, that Billy Graham’s death is a sign that will usher in the largest revival in church history with a billion souls saved.

Great Show, Chris!

Sherry wrote the following in a comment to her post:

“He did bring it home to those with ears to hear! I can’t say I was shocked, though, since it is the NAR and they trip over themselves with one provocative ‘prophecy’ after another, even to the point of contradicting one another. Oh my! It’s hard to believe they have followers but then, again, these followers are most likely new believers who are having the wrong foundation formed under them because they are not learned in the Word of God. They probably do like I did, believe because they think these men are more educated in the Word than them. But I recall the Holy Spirit doing a lot of checking in my spirit. . . yet, I ignored it. . . Other followers are just greedy for renown and could care less that the scriptures are personally interpreted and purposely twisted to fit their agenda. These men want followers for themselves, not for Jesus.”

Ephesians 2:14-18

14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus  making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. 17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

Jerry addressed the confusion and misdirection resulting from the ‘hyper-dispensaltionalist’ view that there are two gospels: Paul’s Gospel of grace, for the Gentiles; and Jesus’ and His other Apostles’ gospel of the Kingdom, for the Jews.

The Two Gospel Theory — Is It False Teaching?

Jerry wrote the following in a comment to his post:

“Thanks Maria, we found Truth when we found Jesus, and we received His promise that through the Holy Spirit we would be led into all truth, so when I began to realize that there is so much confusion within the ranks of those teachers who claim the same belief in Jesus that we have; I then realized just how much of a spiritual battle we are really in. I’m sure that I don’t get everything right, but I’m constantly asking to be led in His wisdom toward truth. I want to know Jesus better and He is truth.”
