Hi! This is a helpful, sane, mini-treatment of practical matters regarding the Christmas Controversy. Love you, brethren!

I am reminded of the “food offered to idols” account in the Bible, and the principles of behavior it presents us.

Reading all the scriptures about what happened when Jesus was born will make you know it could not have been during the winter in Bethlehem, but Romans 14:6 should shed some light on our purpose or at least our tolerance level.
“He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.”

Hi, Lee! Tom and I are doing pretty well. It’s a time to learn more about walking by faith for sure! Thanks for checking on us! Are you and Melissa and your little one ok? Is Melissa any better?

Hi miss Maria,
I’m very glad to hear that you and Tom are okay.
I was getting concerned because you ain’t posted in a while.
We’re doing fine, and we’re so thankful that Melissa tested negative for coronavirus.
Just remember that God loves you and Tom to pieces.

Thank you, brother!! I’m so glad Melissa tested negative. That’s wonderful! There’s a lot to learn during this time! May God be praised for all He has given us, especially to know Him, and that He has covered us with His blood and righteousness!

Hey Maria,
This is SR. I just wanted to stop in. See you have been away from blogging also. I was gone almost two years. You may remember Dad had a stroke and we had to move in with him and take care of him. He passed in November. Trying to get life back has been really hard.
How have you been? I hope all is well. Just wanted to say hi! God Bless, SR

Have thought about you a lot these past two years and prayed. Yes, it has been difficult but God got me through it all. You have always held a special place in my heart. Hope all is well with you! Love you more, SR

It is a joy to speak with you, SR. This past year, blogging became a low priority, plus discouragement set in – not being sure I should be blogging after all.
Love you too! Heading to your blog…

you are always welcome. I know we do not see things eye to eye, but for some reason with you, that never mattered to me. It is the beauty of your soul which always attracted me. I know about the blogging thing also. Have had the same questions. At times the stress of it is more than its worth. but then I would have never of met you.

SR, thank you for being an encouragement but I’m only a sinner saved by grace.
A little bit ago, I read your latest piece about St. Ignatius. This period of Church History is fascinating and edifying!
It’s a good thing that I proofed this comment before hitting “Reply” button because my Kindle auto-corrected me so that it said, “I’m only a dinner saved by grace.”

Well you might be a “sinner saved by grace but that grace gave you a beautiful soul. I do find this period of Church history fascinating. For some reason I gravitate to the first 300 years of it.
“Sinner” or “Dinner” I will take you anyway I can get you. Now do you prefer to be a pork chop or a steak! LOL! Love you, SR
