Psalm 18:1
“I love You, O Lord, my strength.”
2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
First, please forgive me for neglecting your blogs! I hope to get back to reading – and writing – soon. At one point I was subscribed to more than 80 blogs and had over 6000 email notifications waiting for me.
Here are some elements of my life right now:
My loving husband’s health is stable, praise God! Tom will be 77 in April.
I’ve been cat-sitting our neighbor’s cat – Oscar. Oscar is 7 months old and has given me my first experience of caring for a feline. He is affectionate, playful, and very quick! Please pray for his owner, Diana.
Our skittish dog Greta has gone with me to visit Oscar. Greta is afraid of him. He sometimes shows her affection and at other times hides and then charges her. He really really wants to be friends. Poor Oscar! When Greta and I visited yesterday she stood with her back to the room and her snout in the corner by the door.
I just finished a good book – “the End Times made simple.” The author, Samuel E. Waldron of Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary in Kentucky, is an amillennialist. Dr. Waldron explains the issues with clarity, reasoning well from the Scriptures, and exalts the Lord Jesus Christ in everything.
God bless you for reading this!
Praise God for Toms health. I hope the two animals work things out. I bet Oscar gets lonely

Thanks, Wally! I wonder how Percy would react to him. Yep, I know he’s lonely. 🐈

I don’t know how he would. He’s sort of used to being the center of attention. He seems okay with the baby though

Maria, glad your husband is doing well and I prayed for your neighbor, Diana. I laughed at your descriptions of Greta visiting Oscar. Our labradoodle, Gracie, is eleven years old and pretty highstrung and wants no part of her one-year-old, playful nephew, our son’s pitbull, Louie.

Tom, Gracie probably wonders where in the world Louie came from! God bless you, brother!

Yes, Gracie is never happy when Louie shows up. We have to keep them both on very short leashes. Thanks, sister, and God bless you too!

I know what you mean about catching up with the “blogmails,” as I call them. Sometimes I am aghast at how much reading and time blogging requires to really make a go of it and stay connected.
Thank you for the update. It’s nice to get a peek into your world. Pets are the best for comfort and cuddling and nurturing.

Dear Kathy – yes, “aghast” is the right word. I want to be back to see your own world soon!

Blogging can certainly become a big part of what we offer up of self to God. At times I wonder if the people we reach are the people who really need reaching. But being involved with praying with committed believers is a good thing. Thank you Lord for working through our prayers. Thanks for touching Tom through prayer. Maybe we should pray and agree together that God would use each of our posts to reach those who will benefit most from each one. There certainly are others who need to hear what God stirs in each of us. Lord I pray that these posts that you lead us in, will become a magnet for those who need to hear them. Thank you lord for these fellow bloggers and the time they committ to you.

Finding your strength and refuge in the Lord is a great place to be. May you, and your husband, continue to be rooted and grounded in His love, as you take one day at a time with His leading. 🙂

Crissy, I think I remember that you commented. Can’t find it! I don’t know what happened. Please forgive me – can you write your comment again?

I am not sure the exact words but in my comment I said that it was good to see you , that I was wondering what had happened to you . Great news about your husband and I also commented on how cute Oscar and Greta are . And that I will pray for your neighbour. That’s. all I can remember 💜💙

My dear sister, I prayed for you, your husband, and Diana. I will certainly continue to do so. It’s always a treasure to see a post from you. I hope your week is fruitful, and that Oscar and Greta can get along in the future. Pets are a joy, if not an opportunity for patience 🙂

Thank you, Lauren!! Could you and Crissy pray for my husband’s daughter? Today, in her nursing work she had to take care of a friend who was admitted to the ER with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. I just got word of this. Our daughter is asking for pray

Oh my, I prayed for her, her team, and her friend. How very tragic. I’m sorry to hear it, it’s a difficult job already to be a nurse, but to treat a friend must be very emotional.

Beth, I’m so glad that our brothers and sisters at WordPress have been a blessing to you!! But am concerned that you’re feeling lonely. Times of loneliness are times when the Lord teaches and comforts us a lot. 💟
