At the mount of Transfiguration, it never says that Jesus introduced His disciples to Elijah and Moses. It says that Peter babbled about making shelters for all three. If Peter, who was among the earth-dwellers recognized heaven-dwellers, why should we not recognize each other once we are all there?
Will we recognize those that are not there? I don’t believe so because God’s Word says:
Revelation 21:3-4
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
That’s a very interesting question isn’t it sister? (I don’t know the answer).
And someone mentioned above…will our pets go to heaven?
Who knows? Maybe so. (Again, I don’t know the answer). But as far as I can tell, pets don’t need atonement do they? 🐈 (except for sinful vicious animals that bite & harm little children). Just kidding.
All of this is interesting and fun to think about.
Thank you for the mentally challenging and fun question Maria.
Yesssssssss! Amen!!!!

Beth, yes, you could be right. For there will be no grief anymore. If we do notice it, the Lord will give us understanding.

Lee, we don’t really know from a direct statement – true, but I think hatrack4 offered a Biblical thought above.
Thanks for weighing in! It’s good to have you here. It IS fun and interesting to think about.

Yes I agree, hatrack4’s answer is reasonable in my opinion, and I agree with that analysis taken from scripture.
Thank you. 🤠
