If you have been a Christian for very long, you will find that it seems there are as many interpretations of the Bible as there are words. The lack of unity is horrifying, yet we seem to be okay with all of the division. A friend of mine on Facebook of whom I disagree doctrinally on some important points made a very true observation recently of how people interpret the Bible. He said something to the effect that people tend to look at the Scriptures through their own experience and situation rather than consider the culture, context, and genre of the writing. I whole heartedly agree with that statement. the problem is that so would a Fundamental Temperamental Baptist.
