Lamentations 2:14

14 Your prophets have seen for you
False and deceptive visions;
They have not uncovered your iniquity,
To bring back your captives,
But have envisioned for you false prophecies and delusions.
Sherry posted a video produced by Pastor Chris Rosebrough of Pirate Christian Radio debunking prophetic messages from known false prophets, Benny Hinn (charismatic) and Lance Wallnau (NAR) and others, that Billy Graham’s death is a sign that will usher in the largest revival in church history with a billion souls saved.
Sherry wrote the following in a comment to her post:
“He did bring it home to those with ears to hear! I can’t say I was shocked, though, since it is the NAR and they trip over themselves with one provocative ‘prophecy’ after another, even to the point of contradicting one another. Oh my! It’s hard to believe they have followers but then, again, these followers are most likely new believers who are having the wrong foundation formed under them because they are not learned in the Word of God. They probably do like I did, believe because they think these men are more educated in the Word than them. But I recall the Holy Spirit doing a lot of checking in my spirit. . . yet, I ignored it. . . Other followers are just greedy for renown and could care less that the scriptures are personally interpreted and purposely twisted to fit their agenda. These men want followers for themselves, not for Jesus.”
Ephesians 2:14-18
14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. 17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
Jerry addressed the confusion and misdirection resulting from the ‘hyper-dispensaltionalist’ view that there are two gospels: Paul’s Gospel of grace, for the Gentiles; and Jesus’ and His other Apostles’ gospel of the Kingdom, for the Jews.
The Two Gospel Theory — Is It False Teaching?
Jerry wrote the following in a comment to his post:
“Thanks Maria, we found Truth when we found Jesus, and we received His promise that through the Holy Spirit we would be led into all truth, so when I began to realize that there is so much confusion within the ranks of those teachers who claim the same belief in Jesus that we have; I then realized just how much of a spiritual battle we are really in. I’m sure that I don’t get everything right, but I’m constantly asking to be led in His wisdom toward truth. I want to know Jesus better and He is truth.”
I like what Jerry said. If we have a love for truth and are in error on a matter the Lord will show us the truth. I say it again, we need to pray to our Father to reveal to us all of the lies we are believing as truth.

Sherry, it’s wisdom to pray in this way – I do remember you saying this. Thank you!

Dear Lynn, I wasn’t clear about this – sorry! The idea was to offer some helpful comments and links to where these can be found, on the subject of error and confusion in the Church today.
Love and hugs to you, our artist sister!

I guess I’m not familiar with the teachings to which these comments refer and so I couldn’t follow. I feel like I entered a conversation in the middle. I started listening to the video link… but the idea that Billy Graham’s death was a prophetic sign seems pretty absurd to me. Had no idea anyone was suggesting that. And as far as the other article goes, I’m not sure I follow it since it proposes and argues against a kind of dispensationalism that is very different from any that I’ve ever heard taught. (Perhaps, that is why the author refers to it as hyper-dispensationalism?) Can you tell me… Is all of this tied to what is being referred to as the NAR movement? Just wondering… i have no context for this but perhaps this all relates to NAR…and that’s what I missed when I initially read your post? Thanks so much, Maria! ❤️ and Hugs!

Lynn, the problem is that I didn’t write my own thoughts to tie everything together. I will update this post and let you know. Thank you for showing me the weakness of what I’d done! Lord bless you, my sister!

Oh, no, it’s okay… I just wished to understand because Bruce of Reasoned Cases for Christ has posted much about the NAR, and so,this seemed like something that might shed further light… but I have been out of town and am playing catch up so the problem is probably mine since I missed a lot of myfavorite bloggers’ posts while I was away—yours included. I thought there might be a quick answer that you could give me so I could be caught up… please don’t go to a lot of work on my account! ❤️ And huge hugs!
