Luke 22:31-34
gnv
31 ¶ And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired you, to winnow you as wheat.
32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: therefore when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
33 And he said unto him: Lord, I am ready to go with thee into prison, and to death.
34 But he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before thou hast thrice denied that thou knewest me.
“May your faith be buoyant in a sea of sin.”

From a mighty fortress is our GOD
Did we in our own strength confide,
our striving would be losing,
were not the right Man on our side,
the Man of God’s own choosing.
You ask who that may be?
Christ Jesus, it is he;
Lord Sabaoth his name,
from age to age the same;
and he must win the battle.

Hey! 😃 verse 31 I once had written on a piece of paper taped to my steering wheel! That’s a reality that Christians will sometimes endure. And I believe the more arrogant a Christian is, I believe the greater the likelihood of this happening.
And ya like that song? “A mighty fortress is our God.”
I like it too.
In fact, I enjoy watching it as the opening theme song for “Davey and Goliath.”

Hi, Lee! yes, we will. And, yes, I love this hymn and especially Psalm 46! No little ones at home anymore to be watching “Davey and Goliath.” Maybe we big children need to watch it too!

Ya know, an identical hymn can sound almost like a completely different song when different people sing it.
One I’m thinking of right now is “Holy Spirit, Truth Divine.”
I heard it sang from the pretend church on the Andy Griffith show so beautifully that I cried. I even posted it.
But to hear that same song sang by other people, it was almost unrecognizable. It sounded that different.

Lord bless you, brother! I remember that hymn from Mayberry. Sweet and simple, and holy.

This is true! There’s probably lots of different reasons for this too.

You’re very welcome Maria. I did, they used the the word cured, staples removed, can resume a full diet and approved for increased walking pace and distance. Still advised not to lift anything greater than a gallon of milk. Healing excellently, next follow up in 2 weeks. Thanks for all the prayers my friend 😚
