Revelation 1
1599 Geneva Bible
The Revelation of Saint John the Apostle
1 12 Then the mystery of the seven Candlesticks and stars, 20 is expounded.
9 I John even your brother and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the Isle called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the witnessing of Jesus Christ.
10 And I was ravished in spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as it had been of a trumpet,
11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, that first and that last: and that which thou seest write in a book, and send it unto the seven Churches which are in Asia, unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
12 Then I turned back to see the voice that spake with me: and when I was turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks,
13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks, one like unto the son of man, clothed with a garment down to the feet, and girded about the paps with a golden girdle.
14 His head and hairs were white as white wool, and as snow, and his eyes were as a flame of fire,
15 And his feet like unto fine brass burning as in a furnace: and his voice as the sound of many waters.
16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword, and his face shone as the sun shineth in his strength.
17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead: then he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not: I am that first and that last,
18 And am alive, but I was dead: and behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen: and I have the keys of hell and of death.
19 Write these things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall come hereafter.
20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks, is this, The seven stars are the Angels of the seven Churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest, are the seven Churches.

Thanks, Maria! A customer recently brought in a copy of the 1583 Geneva Bible in an episode of “Pawn Stars.”

Tom, not feeling well and enjoyed watching this man attempt to pawn this Bible. He kept his cool. Thank you! Paul Flynn of Megiddo TV took his viewers on a trip to a rare book shop.I tried but can’t find it for you.

Maria, I’m sorry you don’t feel well and pray you get better soon! I just finished the book on the English martyrs so their faith and courage in defying Rome by such things as translating the Bible into English are on my mind. Sorry you couldn’t find the video but thanks for thinking of me! Get well!
