“False teachers, they’ve always been a plague in the church. They always will be a plague in the church until the day the Lord returns. But we know their methods. Even better, we know the scripture, which always exposes them, for who they are. Always exposes them for what they are. See our best defense against false teachers is to know the Word of God so well, that we immediately spot and we can immediately shut down any deviation from that precious truth, that is the Word of God.”

Beth, I’m doing better and pressing on! Thank you for praying, sister! 💞 I’m not going to two blogs anymore. Like all of us, it is more than upsetting to watch a blogger trying to persuade readers to believe a lie.

Thanks for this, Maria. Pastors today are generally silent about false teachers and false teaching, leaving the sheep to fend for themselves. Tim Challies is a good resource.

Tom, in our fellowship I haven’t heard this done. Yes, we have to do this ourselves. But it takes time to research teaching/teachers, and time for the discernment to come that only accrues with our maturing.

Pastor Jim, hi! Because of a problem with his hands Pastor Challies is limiting his writing and doing short vlogs. Here is the vlog associated with this solid quote.
