Critical Issues Commentary provides some of the clearest and most helpful teaching on how to interpret the Bible that I’ve seen. Thank you, Sherry, for bringing it to us!
An important teaching for every Christian:
Many teachers will twist scriptures because they use faulty interpretation methods. This is how many are fooled into believing they can celebrate X Mass and Easter, or that Christians can be homosexuals.
If only Christians would not believe the foolish authors of our hermeneutics courses. They were trained and *PAID* by the Catholics to confuse the ones who recognized the error in the RCC.

Hi, Beth! As in all things, we need discernment. I encourage you to listen to this. My promotion of it is genuine – it is Biblical.

I was speaking of the “authors of our modern day hermeneutics courses (books)–not about your writings.

How do you interpret 2 Peter 1:20-21–Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Beth, I take 2 Peter 1:20-21 at face value and believe it. For example, if an individual says they understand what others can’t and promotes their own view of a passage, then they are violating this truth found in Peter’s epistle. How do understand these verses?
Are you referring to some conclusion these teachers are making in the video about the End of the Age? Are you questioning their principles of interpretation? I can’t see where they have erred in their principles, but even when we have a sound hermeneutic we can make mistakes in using it. We need one another. It is hard work and we all need correction at times.
