Jeremiah 8
9 The wise men are ashamed,
They are dismayed and taken.
Behold, they have rejected the word of the Lord;
So what wisdom do they have?
James 3
13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. 16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
Very excellent scripture!
Praise God!

I went back over this a few times; that was worth pondering on. And that verse 13 is really strong ain’t it?
All glory to the risen Lord Jesus Christ, and God bless you Maria.

It’s comforting that true wisdom is pure. 🙂 Some feel defeated against desires and wants of the flesh and the mind. But we do have hope in Jesus Christ, and the fruits we can bear of the Holy Spirit should lift anyone’s spirits! 🙂

I never looked at Jeremiah 8 as being a warning for true believers but it certainly is! We need to watch that we don’t get haughty and forget/reject God’s Word on how we treat each other or the contentions will lead to shame and dismay in the end.
